My dad will be 89 next January and I started documenting him since 2008 each time I come visit in Southern California .  Ironically, I photograph client day in and out but have neglected my family especially my dad whom is in his twilight years.  With this realization, I commit myself to photograph him as long as there’s time.  He goes to senior center every morning to do Tai Chi with his friends and hence this project begun by capturing the people who go to the center for friendship and solace.

It was a cool early summer afternoon in San Leandro for the ceremony at a Catholic church.   Then the reception was at Canyon View Dining Hall in San Ramon.  The name says it all the view from above the city below.

It was such a gorgeous afternoon in San Francisco for an intimate outdoor ceremony at The Inn and a reception at the Crystal Springs Golf Course. I have known Jim as a colleague since the early 90s, and we have kept in touch and met for occasional lunches and summer backpacking throughout the years. It was an honor to document the wedding. Jim & Joan are truly a happy couple and in love.

Sam and Crystal are architects who work in downtown San Jose.  The spring weather is just so lovely, and downtown has so much possibility for capturing memories.  I love doing engagement sessions so that a couple can rehearse and be comfortable with the camera. I am really looking forward to their July wedding. The venue is so lovely and picturesque.

I have known Gavin for 10 months and he is the child that most parents wish they had – good nature, happy and amazingly bright.  The images are captured over the weekend and he is always as happy as you see him here.

After some stormy weather in the past few weekends, we finally blessed with warm weather in the low 80s in SF.  That was perfect to stroll around town and snapped some images of Alex and Liliana.  They are scheduled to get married in June.  We are doing a mixture of edgy band cover shots, romantic couple shots and just plain fun shots.  Hope you enjoy.
